Hi, thanks for your lists, I'm just startig to put together the soundtracks for S1 of the Wire.

For ep 1 I found an additional couple of tracks:

the tune towards the end when the stripper is trying to get D'angelo to buy her a drink is *Pull Up To The Bumper* by Grace Jones

the country tune in the bar when McNulty and Bunk are talking about McNulty's children is *Streets of Baltimore* this was originally by Bobby Bare but this version sounds to me more like the Gram Parsons one (there's a lot of versions, I come down on the side of Gram Parsons though)

    so for ep 1 there's

    Jay-Z
    Bill Withers
    Grace Jones
    Gram Parsons

  7. Just fyi- The version of "Dirty Old Town" (S1 E3) heard on the radio is not the Pogues but a version done by Pierce Turner. Ironically it's not even an Irish song... I'll bet McNulty doesn't know that!

  8. This is a great list and I appreciate the effort put into it. However, I have a request! In episode 12 of season 1, the stripper is asked to where a wire in the club. There is a track thats very funky as she is putting on her make up, trying to get close to Avon's back room. If anyone can help, i'd be much obliged.
